Shishir Rutu (Late Winter) – Ayurvedic Care for Strong Health

Shishir Rutu is the late winter season described in Ayurveda. It usually falls between January to March. This season is marked by intense cold, dry winds, and reduced moisture in the environment.
What Happens in the Body During Shishir Rutu?

  1. Digestive fire (Agni) becomes very strong
  2. Kapha Dosha starts accumulating silently
  3. Vata increases due to dryness
  4. Body requires more nourishment and warmth
